As you prepare for Globals, feel free to use this forum to ask questions about preparing for and surviving Globals. There are many experienced Globals TMs that are returning to Globals this year and can help answer questions and offer suggestions.  Now that your teams are registered and the fundraising is in full swing, it's time to start planning the logistics of your time in Knoxville.

I'll start off with a couple tips.

First, no need to spend money on field trips while in Knoxville. There is so much to do and see on the UT campus and downtown Knoxville.  Take tours of the prop storage rooms on Wednesday or Thursday morning, before things start to disappear. This is a great way for teams to see the amazing contraptions, scenery and props that they may not have a chance to see in performances. Some may wonder why it is that some teams make it to Globals year after year. Well, it is largely because they get to see the awesome stuff that other teams bring to Globals. This raises the bar for the teams, who come back to Maryland with much larger plans for the next year.

One of the other fun things to do is to don swim suits and take a run through the fountains in the Worlds Fair Park. Also in the Park is kareoke at lunch time  and other interesting sponsor related activities.
